im only about halfway through, but i really like the concept of Newspeak being a way for the government to control thoughts. the goal being eventually creating one refined word to describe anything you could ever want to express, and to eliminate "criminal thoughts" by making it impossible to express them in your mind, because theres no words for them.
i also like the telescreens. thats scary.
