well on Friday we went ahead and took the plung of ordering some live goods online. my dad was kinda nervous about doing it but naggin for a year did the trick. anyways, we ordered the following
2 green rics
1 orange ric
3 feather dusters
1 yellow gorgonian
i cant wait for our order to get in. it should arrive sometime tuesday. ill take pictures and let all of u know how everything turned out

hey everyone, just want to give u an update about my order. it was on time ( actually early by 8 minutes ) so fedex did their job well. as for the inhabitants of the order and the quality of it being packed i am not impressed. the water in all of the bags is very cold, no were near 82 degrees. i think the reason is because there was no heat source included in the package. as for the feather dusters, the water is very brown and when i opened the bag it smelt horrible. one of the feather duster worms is half was out of the tube ( looks to be dead ) and one other feather dusters tube looks thrashed. i do hope they make it after the acclimation. as for the orange ric- it is very very small, and is detached from the rock that it came attached to. the green rics look good tho. the orange gorgonian looks like its doing well, but one of its branches is bent due to the way it was inserted into the bag.
now, they are all in either temp acclimation or in salanity acclimation- i wil make another post later today and let all of u know how all of the corals are doing.

i forgot to add, i do know that corals will come closed up and smaller than usual because it has had no light upon it. so i do hope that the rics will get larger as they settle in with our DT

well everything is in the tank- except the one feather duster that died. i am about to go to the post office to return it. i did everything that it told me to do in the 15 day guarantee.
bot this kinda is a hastle tho, and i am very sorry to have left those messages earlier because i do love SWFish.com. i love everything about it and i have learned so much about this hobby here on these boards.

glad most of your order survived. i love ordering from SWF. i always ask for heat/cold packs in the special instructions box, and ive only ever had one DOA (a peppermint shrimp, understandable.)

i will get pics sometime tomorrow or later tonight... the green rics are big and i am impressed with the size; but one of the green rics color is basically white- not really any green in it at all. the orange is well.... im disappointed. the gorgonian is way tight and the feather dusters are doing well
