I have a 250 de metal halide light on a 100 gallOn. I know sps r out of the question but I was wondering if I would be able to house some soft corals like zoos, mushrooms, leather etc

Yes. SPS could grow right underneath the halide, but as they grew it would shadow a lot of the rest of the tank. Do non photosynthetics, such as sun corals off to the sides where the least amount of light is reaching.
