I have a coral beauty in my 150 gal tank and I wanted to purchase a few more dwarf angels as they are very colorful, peaceful and so far easy to care for. Apon going onto this site I see every page for angels starts with a paragraph that you cannot have 2 angels in the same tank. My question is this for all angels or just some, does it depend on the tank size and rock structure, or is it you can't have 2 of the same angels in the same tank. I appreciate the help!

most angels will attack eachother unless its a dwarf angel and a full size angel. The only way to have 2 angels in the same tank that i've seen is a divider or a very LARGE tank.

In a 150, you have a fair chance of them geting along, or at least tolerating each other. In most cases, adding them at the same time helps. Having one pre-established can make it a bit challenging. You could try re-arranging the rocks before placing the new angel in. You mentioned having a few of them. What species did you plan to have? It's been done succesfully in many tanks, but it can be a gamble.

i think your best bet would be to get a large angel with your drawf. The size difference between the 2 different fish could help you out.
Although with a 150 you just add the other angel at the opposite side from the thank that the currently one has its territory at.

There are arguements on both sides of this fence. I have two pigmy angels in on of my 39gal tanks and they are buddies (flame and coral beauty). The trouble is the Coral beauty. They are natoriously teritorial and far more agressive than some other types such as the flame. You would probably do all right if you could isolate the CB when introducing the other angels. They will fight and chase each other for about 48 to 72 hours and then suddenly stop fighting and start getting along. I have done this in all three of my current tanks. Just watch the angels, expecially the CB, for extreme signs of aggression and have a secondary tank (such as a QT tank) to move the more aggressive fish into (like the coral beauty). After the non-agressive fish has adjusted to the tank you can reintro the aggressive fish. Also a good idea to go with moonlight only for at least the first 24 hours. Hope it helps
