Hi,
I'm starting my first reef soon. I just had some general questions that have to do with big/aggressive fish.
1.) How big do niger triggerfish get?
2.) I don't know where to post this, but I have some freshwater stingrays (there's a pic of one as my avatar) and I've heard the freshwater one have more poison on their barbs than saltwater rays. Is this true?
Thanks.

I don't know anything about stingrays but niger triggers get to about 10" in captivity.

Im almost certain that book, same one I have, goes off the biggest fish ever caught. I have never seen a Niger over a foot in the home tank. Now at the aquarium different story.

Captivity is much different. Its hit or miss on the tank size. Triggers angels and large tangs belong in 7 to 8 foot set ups IMO. While clownfish can thrive and mate in a 20 gallon if they are alone.
