Hey yall! Got a couple questions here for a case study I'm helping my fiance with. ANY info would be appreciated. I'm horrible at studying foreign economies, so please help us. Thanx!!! Here they are:
1. If GMAC enters the Chinese market for auto financing, where should GMAC make its moves and with what type of products?
2. What should GMAC do to influence the positive change in China in its favor?

*Thank you- killer

1. what they need to do is manufacture motorcycles and scooters. those chinese dudes are always ridin around on bikes. the scooters should be geared more for off-road and have lots o' compartments for storing stuff.
2. don't insult the culture for starters. they could probably help sponser some startup capital over there for my scooter idea through business loans. GMAC financing has one of the largest portfolios in U.S. housing. hell, i think they're at #2 or somethin...

Well because the labor in China is so much cheaper GM should capitalize on this. Bad for the US economy, but good for GMs bottom line.
China is not known for innovation but because they are going currently going through an industrial revoloution the timing might be right for GM to appeal to them in developing cheaper methods of producing hydrogen fuel cells. This would cost GM less to produce and would put the Chinese years ahead in development. Once again bad for the US economy but good for GM.
