tube anemone are the LEAST likley anemone to catch a fish they are planktivores. its a persisting Mythinformation. they can move but are unlikley to do so. they can leave their tubes and move to another spot or make a different hole out of where they are located to aid in catching plankton.

Free...where???
at the LFS I used to work at, I stopped by to visit and bring him some corals today, he pointed them out and said he ordered high color tube anemone and that was what they sent him. he said they would never sell and offered them to me for free which is funny because I was going to buy one off him as soon as he pointed them out. free just made the deal better.

Nice... I had one it was really cool. My sand bed wasnt deep enough for it, so I gave it to renogaw. Nice find its always good to spend nothing and get something.

rotifers, cyclops, dapnia, copepods, oyster eggs, the smaller the better. mysis may be too large for them to comfortably eat

Feed mine krill, I quarter up a krill and feed them a piece, seem to eat it fine and never had any problems as of yet.

good to know, I wasnt sure of how large a prey they tolerate, I just know that in the wild their foods are very small, stomach content analysis shows most foods being zooplankton, fish fry, and rotifers like Brachionus
among the other things.

When I fed mine it was cyclops, zooplank etc... but I couldnt help the stray piece of clam, silverside etc from finding its way to it, and it readily accepted them all without incident, but it got big fast...
