2 Quick questions

I am about to cut a pice of glass to put under my lights that sit atop a 20gal High tank, it is 24inches across... what size should I cut the glass? So that it will stay on the edges where the light is? Also, since the tank is so small... I might not keep many fish... if any, maybe more inverts? I am bout to set up my 55gal, so I'll use that for fish... but, my question is! What would be sufficient for filtering in the 20gal? Right now I have a Biowheel 125, and 10lbs live rock... and a 2" LSB, Do I need much more? Any help would be appreciated.

youre just going to keep inverts? well thats a new one to me. anyways i wouldnt think you would need much filter at all. with LR and LS that will help. i would still get a little hang on the back wet dry filter, to get all the big floating stuff out. probably get a small one of those for under $15 then i think youd be fine. you also probably wouldnt have to cycle that tank. because LR and LS are going to have some beneficial bacteria, and inverts dont change the bioload so i dont think youd need to cycle it, but wait to get other opinions on that, incase im wrong.

sorry, with the glass i would just cut it to be around 27 inches, and it should be too long. then just kind of sand it down to where you want it. remember you can always make it smaller, but you cant make it bigger, so guess big, then go down with it. good luck.

Well, I already started cycling the tank with 2 domino damsels... I figured it would have to happen sometime... and I didn't want an ammonia spike to kill of everything... should I get a skimmer as well? anyone? Will just a cheap one do? Or do cheap ones break alot?

If your keeping just inverts. then you don't need a skimmer. Just a small hang on the back. Even if you keep the 2 damsels you will probably only need a hang on the back.

So the Biowheel 125 is maybe enough? Or should I go larger? Or add another one of those? Maybe a biowheel 300?
