I have a problem. I am working on getting this 240 gallon set-up. The stand is not very tall and can not accomodate a large enough skimmer. What do you guys think of using 2 skimmers at once. Thanks, Justin
I don't see how there could be any problem doing this, but I think I read something once saying that they may not work well because they would be somehow fighting each other ----sounds crazy??
You can run 2 skimmers at once without problems, unless you are one that feels it's possible to overskim a tank.
One larger more efficient skimmer would be my preference on a large tank, but if you are wanting to keep everything out of sight, under the stand, you can certainly do it.
If they are both placed anywhere in the water system, and their is something for them to skim - they will skim.
Ufortunately the stand is already built. I actually got the tank because one of my really rich clients did not want it anymore. Its a 240 gallon custom tank, its about 96x18x30. Thanks guys, Justin
