I got an offer on a 75g predrilled tank today and i was wondering how i could plumb it in to the 30g breeder sump that i built for my 75g that i already have running.
Rio 2500 im switching to for my new return pump to my 75g.
I have a rio1400 laying around and a mag drive model 7 ( is what the box says) that im using right now put since i have to replumb i bought a new pump, but i can use the mag 7 for the new 75g.
Any thoughts?

You can have multiple pumps in the sump, maybe one for each aquarium, doesn't matter because they all share the same water.
Just let your drain water flow into the drain section of your sump, and your good to go. As long as you have enough extra room in your sump so that it doesn't overflow when the electricity goes off, you should be just fine!

He said that he is going to upgrade to a 30g sump.
I had a 16 gallon sump on a 90 gallon. He said that the baffles in his 30g sump is only going to be 9.5" tall or something like that - So, I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be much excess water after he turned off the pump (s)

I dont really have any experience with this but you may want to look into a inline uv sterilizer for the returns as this can prevent disease from spreading from one tank to another! just a thought though

I wouldn't worry with a UV sterilizer if you quarantine. He's only transfering one of his eels to the other tank, and nothing is already sick - so yeah.
