2 weeks into my cycle ....

theres a few light brown spots in my live sand and decorations
is this normal?
another question is
any fishes i can buy to get the waste out of the sand?
fish only, 175 gallon

yes this is normal, brown algae usually starts to rear its ugly head towards the end of the cycle(from what i've learned) so keep checking your perameters. you can get snails to clean it but i don't know if i would add any until the cycle is completely over.but that's just my opinion,i'm new here and learning it also. but everyone here is GREAT at helping out! good luck!!

I used Stress Zyme since day 1 of my cycle. I had 2 damsels and some snails and dwarf hermits in there too. None of them died .Dont worry about the brown stuff. If all goes well green algae will over take it.The algae will then become food for any snails or hermits you might have or get. <img src="graemlins//angel.gif" border="0" alt="[angel]" />
