As the title states, could I have 2 wrasses in the same tank? Right now i have a Pinstripe wrasse, but the harlequin tusk has caught my eye. I was wondering if i could keep these two both in the same aquarium? Thanks in advance.

the tusk would most likely kill your other wrasse among with most other types of fish..it has been done in the past as a species type tank multipal wrasses but its very risky

Hello! I am not sure about a tusk wrasse-but I have a bird nose a red coris and another-I think hes a pinklined wrasse in my 150-they get along well. My coris and my pink lined sleep in the sand - my birdnose sleeps in the rocks. But they are very strong assertive fish! :happyfish :happyfish

several small wrasses to name that will do fine in a 30g. Lunare wrasse isn't one of them since it swims fast and ALOT. gets to about 10". Its also aggressive and should be housed with triggers, puffers, groupers, bold tang species.
hoevens (pinstripe) wrasse is pretty disimular to the tusk and tusk are relatively mild mannered for so called semi-aggressive fish. I know hoevens wrasse can be housed with other peaceful wrasses. Tusk do get twice the size of a hoevens and probably going to get more temperamental with size/age but it would likely work while before the tusk gets big.

Sorry to Hijack, but on the same subject..
Can a Lunar and a Tusk co-exist in a 240 (96x24x24)? Or will no amount of room and rock keep them from killing each other?
Had heart set on a Aussie Tusk, but saw a gourgous Alfa Male Lunar this weekend at LFS.
