Hi!
On mine, I've got a 65w Coralife Power Compact light fixture. It is low maintenence and works well. It's on a reef, too. Also, one ZooMed PowerSweep 212 works well for water movement. Just be sure to put on the intake sponge. Hope this helps!

depends on what you want to do with this tank. For a simple fish only then just a basic light and canister filter or bio wheel may work for you. For a reef with softys then the fixture mentioned above may do well along with better filtration and possible skimmer/sump.
And for SPS/Clams you would want to look at T5-halide systems . It all depends on what you want to accomplish with the tank.

it will be a reef tank and i am getting t5 lights

for a reef you will need powerheads, which basically blow water around. i would reccomend 2: one on each side of the tank.
