Hey guys i was acually looking into getting an Anemone in my 20 gal tank
i Have good flow and the tanks been set up for about 7 months and im using MH light , so i can support one but im just worried about my pistol shrimp /watchman goby and my pepperment shrimp.
i would much rather have them alive then carry an anemone, will it eat my fish/ shrimp??
im just worried bc 20gals isnt really alot of room for them all
thanks!

My anemone tries to eat my flame shrimp everytime it's antennas brush against it. After almost being caught a few times my flame stays clear now. It's a gbta but I don't believe the species matters, they are oppurtunistic if it occurs

+1
Anemones get big fast, in a 20g your fish and other critters don't have much room to maneuver around it, and will stand a better chance of being lunch for it.

I have an RBTA in my 14G with a pistol shrimp/goby pair along with another unpaired pistol and a fire shrimp. There's also an emerald crab and a pom pom crab in this tank as well as a tail spot blenny. The anemone has never bothered anything. I have three in my 155 and they also have never ate any of my fish or inverts.
Some anemones are worse than others (Condy's are awful). Bubble tips are probably the safest.
Anemones are usually only opportunistic when they're not cared for properly. Feed it, give it good lighting, good water conditions and it should be fine.

Look into Rock Anemones, aka Flower anemones. They should stay under 5" diameter, and some are gorgeous to look at. Their sting is more powerful then a Bubbletip though...
