20 gallon long build - help please

I am thinking about setting up a 20 gallon long and try out the whole nano scene. I like the looks of 20 longs and I am trying to get a few prices together. I was looking at lights for this and was wondering how long of a light fixture I need. A 20 long is 30"l x 12" x 12" . I'm thinking power compact, would I use the 24" fixture with the legs about to the ends or would I use the 36" fixture with a little over hang? Once I get this thing going I will take lots of pictures of the build and such. Please let me know of any hints and tips that will make this a bit easier. Thanks,

Why not go with a 30" fixture?

Yea, I'm an idiot and didn't realize the site I was looking at just didn't have 30" but thats what ill do.
