Get a few peices of base rock too if you don't have enough LR. During cycling it will turn to LR. It just takes abit longer to get coaraline on it. I use a biowheel mini on my 15L should be enough for your needs with the LR and sand too. If your going fish only you can go with cheaper lights. If corals (like for the 20L i'm collecting bits for) 4 24 inch HO T5's 2 white 2 actinic. It might be a good idea If you have current issues to put the skimmer and filter on one side. Or put the powerhead into the output stream of one or the other to cushion the flow a bit, if you need it to direct current. However if your going to just put zoo's and softies in it you may not/probably not even need the PH.
