I am getting ready to set up my nano. I can't decide what size. the stand and canopy I built is for a 20 high and they also make a 25 with same dimensions. Which one would you guys go with. If anyone can post a picture of thier 20 or 25's I would like to see them.

there are lots op pics of 20's on here. A 25 may be too tall to effectively light the bottom of the tank with flourescent lighting.

For lighting I am using 1 150w MH and 2 55w Actinic PC's. Do you still think it will be too deep.

if that is the amount of lighting then definitely go for the 25 . . . you are going to have some major heat issues.

I have already purchased the lights and also a industrial chiller I found on the internet. Works on the same basis as your car radiator

thats a ton of investment/hardware for a 25 . . . . at least you will be prepared when you want to upgrade to a bigger tank.

The money is not an issue for me it is the space. We recently sold our house in Michigan and our jobs took us to Oregon. We did not want to build or buy a house until we know we will be here for a while. So we are just renting a small condo. I have on small 35 and only room for another 20 or 25 reef. Could put it in a bedroom but I like to have my tanks in the main living area so I can enjoy them most of the day.:D

Wish I could help you but the wife is putting the pinch on me. ^ months after living here I bought a 120g and all the supplies and decided not to put it up just to big for the room. It is setting in storage waiting for a bigger house. SHe OK'd the nano but that is going to be the last tank for a long time.
