220 watts VHO in a 72 gallon.. what anenomes can i keep?

I wouldn't even consider the 220, 440 would be much more like it, as in, within the range that you would like to be. You would be much happier with the 440. Given the depth of that tank the 440 would serve you better. I use the 440 VHO over my 90, but then I also have 500 in MH as well.
Go for the 440, and look for a tank raised BTA.
