225g filtration HELP

I just purchased a 225g tank, stand, lights, and canopy for 300 dollars...but I now need to focus on the filtration. The tank is all glass, more then likely tempered, it has no holes drilled out of it. So far, I am thinking I'll just hook up some canister filters....but I'd like to make a sump or fuge tank on the bottom...maybe a 55g cause i have an extra one lying around. If you can give me any info, I'd love it...and IF i can...put a sump or fuge under the stand, I'd really would need some instructions....and detailed....please. Thank you.

Man that is a good deal. I paid $350 for my 120 but it was brand new.
A 55 would be fine for a sump although if you have the funds I would get the biggest tank I could fit. More water the better.
Anyways a sump is just a container of water that raises the total volume of your system thus making your tank more stable. If it were me I would just make it into a refuge. This would make your water cleaner and give you alot more stablilty in my opinion. I am using a 40g breeder tank for my fuge and here is a rough sketch. Do a search on this board and you will find tons of info and diagrams. Good luck
