I have a 24 gal aquapod. It did'nt come with directions. On the side where the foam blocks (in the back chamber) go there are black pieces of plastic that can slide out to let more water in through these slits. Does anyone know if all the pieces of plastic should be removed? Or just 1 or 2 to let only a small amount of water in through to the foam blocks?
Thanx in advance

I have the manual and it doesn't really offer much help. Currently I have taken all my weirs out., but I also don't use the foam. I have the ceramic media and LR rubble in the 1st chamber. I have a 212 powersweep with a foam intake filter right in front of the intake grills. so far everything is doing fine. I did notice when I did run the blue foam that my nitrates would be a little higher, after talking with my LFS they recommended taking them out.
Not sure this is any help, best of luck with your pod.

I took the blue foam completely out. I run a Magnum H.O.T. in the first chamber with LR rubble. I took out the ceramic nubs and the bio-balls. I replaced the stock pump with a Maxi Jet 1200, it runs cooler than the stock pump. I also took out the Y lock output and replaced it with a Hydor-Flo. When I hooked up the Maxi Jet, I did it with 1/2 tubing which can plug right in where the L connector does. That makes a smoother bend than the L connector.

Your rock looks really good.
Also Ilike the purple Firefish. I don't have any fish yet, just crabs and a few snails. I think I might get a yellow watchman Goby tomorrow though.
