24 gallon up and running!

I thought I would share another tank on here! The 75 I had was moved 1200 miles successfully, and then ran for 7 months until I once again moved. I didn't have the heart or the will to get it up 3 flights of stairs, nor the cajones to find out if 1200 lbs would soon be crashing through the floors to the ground. So, I sold it. I got a decent amount of in store credit at the LFS, still a swift kick to the pants, but I couldn't complain. I found a Cardiff 24 gallon tank with the stand for $200 another store was trying to get rid of. At the same store I got 20 lbs of rock to start with (this is the first nano so was weary about loading up with 25 or 30 lbs) after I got it in and got it looking like I wanted it I realized I want another 10 ish lbs. Well anyway, to the specs, with the money saved on the tank I went with the AI Nano LED's which are amazing and the corresponding controller! I also got an MP10 which is also really awesome, fun to play with! The tank was setup May 30th so it's in the middle of it's cycle. Ammonia has gone down to 0 and the nitrites are on their way down. As you'll notice by the pictures I have some wonderfully pretty brown diatoms for your viewing pleasure! I must say I'm more excited about this nano than I am with other tanks I've done!

Looking good, I agree more rock to make more caves. What are you planning to keep? Do you know the watts of the LED's? Nothin like the smell of a new tank.

Hey thanks! Well here is an additional 10 lbs still workin it to make it better. I just really wanted to cover up those return nozzles and I accomplished that but kinda made an uneven look. It's growing on me as I stare at it, but we shall see. The lights are the AI nano fixture which is all Cree LEDs pumping out 35 watts so shouldn't have a problem in the light department. I have never done SPS so now that I have the light fixture that can hold it's own I want to start to dip my toes in the SPS department. When I see nano tanks I like to see a lot of wiggling, flowing, swaying, just a lot of peaceful movement. So just a few SPS but who knows, I may get hooked on them and turn my thoughts around. In the fish department I think I wanna try some snowflake, Picasso, or onyx clowns. I think some unusual clowns to get the conversation started on the tank would be nice. I actually don't have a cleaner, kinda embarrassing, so the tank is grody looking. I accidentally left it attached to the tank when I sold it to them.

Wow, the added rock made a big difference
. On the light, SPS need strong light. With LED's 3watt bulbs are needed, so when you say 35watt total you need to count the actual bulbs, so to have 3watt bulbs there should be about 11 individual bulbs in unit to have 3 watt bulbs.
