240 gallon price?

Well, when today I took my yellow stingray back to the lfs for store credit I saw a 240 gallon with stand, lights, and hood on sale for $900. I don't know what the price range is for tanks this size because I got my 180 from the classifieds. Is this a good deal? I have been thinking of upgrading my 180 and getting another bamboo shark.

From the prices I have seen, I would say its definatly a good deal. Providing the tank is new. Is it acrylic? Glass? At any rate, if the stand and canopy are of good quality, and its all new, then I say its a good deal.

It sounds like a pretty good deal. But don't forget all the money it will take to get it up and running. The filter, protein skimmer, pumps, sand, rock, coral etc. Figure at least 1500 dollars for that stuff alone, and that is really being cheap. It really gets to be alot of money, I have been setting one up for sharks and fish, it is costing an arm and a leg. I already have filters,a skimmer,250+ lbs of ls,20lbs of lr, and about $200 worth of dead coral in my 180 thats all going to go in the 240 when I get it. I'm also using my 60 gallon as a sump/refugium.
