i want to keep the following:
2-bannded cat sharks
1-smothhound shark or Epaulette Shark
1-volitan lion
1-miniatus grouper
what would be the best filtration?
and what would be the best skimmer?
and what else would i need?

I don't think a 240 is large enough for a smoothound (or any other free swimmer). I'd go with two bottom dwellers. My epaullette is great... get one.
Congrats on the new tank. You may want to consider some swimming fish to add color and life when the sharks are hiding. I have tangs in my tank.

I'm always posting pics around here... kind of a hobby. Reefer you should filter with a wet/dry or refugium or both and a protein skimmer. On my 220 I have a 40 gallon refugium with a large chamber full of bio balls and a large chamber of miracle mud, LR and caulerpa. I use a seaclone 150 (a little small but ok for right now) skimmer and a 36 watt UV sterilizer.
As far as fish, go with some free swimmers that are large and relatively docile. In my tank I have an epaullette, yellow stingray, miniatus grouper, sohal tang, purple tang. Other tankmates I am considering are a batfish, foxface, moorish idol... something like that.
