Here is my 240 gallon reef tank that is probably one of the most simple setups on here.
-Tank 240 gallon tall (6ft made by glass cages)
-Lighting 4 x 175w metal halides with 15k xm single ended bulbs w/ individual reflectors.
-Circulation- I am using 2 koralia 4's, 1 maxijet 1200 with sureflow mod (large white prop) and 1 koralia 6 Magnum.
-Filtration is 2 rubbermaid totes. Water drains from display into first rubbermaid tote that has a hole cut into it at 8 inches. This tote houses my MSX 250. The tote that the skimmer is housed in is inside another larger tote that has liverock, Chaeto, and my return pump (mag 12). I also have a tlf phosban reactor hanging on the side of the tote. This setup is Ghetto but it is so simple and hassle free.
I don't exactly know how much live rock I have because I sold off a bunch to create a more open aquascape (I am guessing about 200lbs).
My fish list is as follows
-Emperor angel (juvi changing) killed my favorite brain coral (see pic)
-Blue throat triggerfish (female)
-Hippo Tang
-Sailfin Tang
-Midas Blenny
-Dusky Wrasse
-False Perculas
This is a mixed reef but I am limited do to the Emp angel.
I bought this setup on the list of Craig, it came with a wet/dry filter and the lighting and a handful of fish for $1000 (minus the skimmer).

I do a monthly water change of 30 gallons and only add reef buffer to the tank bi weekly. All other levels stay pretty stable.

Thank you, my coral growth rate isn't as fast as I would like, is there anything I can do to speed up growth?
