that siphon hole is ok right?
Yep. It is a little bit more closed now. That pic was taken less then 24hrs. in the tank. That is my sixth clam in this system. The only problem is they only look that nice when viewing from the top down. You would never know all those colors are in there if it was in the display. I will probably add a couple more to the frag tank when I find the right ones.

the others still alive?
if i understand correctly...over 3" they can %100 photosynthesis. no need to hand feed them.
keep them on rocks directly so they can latch on.
under a jets flow..not directly in it.
perfect stable water.
MH lights for them to feed off of.
did i miss anything major?
also they benificial in anyway for filtraton?

Yes. I have
2 Sqaumosas that I have had close to 3 years. 1 is about 8", the other is about 10".
2 Croceas 1 I have hadf for about 3 years. It is about 5-6". The other is in the pic.
1 Derasa I have had about 5-6 months. This thing has doubled in size in that time. It is a bout 7-8".
1 Small Maxima about 2". Had for maybe 4 months.
Yes alot of people feed phytoplankton when under 3". I have never fed anything for them. Also never direct feed them but just add to water.
Croceas and Maximas like rockwork. Derasa, Squamosa, Gigas like the sand.
They can take a lot of flow just make sure thier mantle doesn't flap over.
Yes they like stable water and use lots of cal.
They do filter the water for food, but I would not consider them part of your filtration.
Here are some pics of the others.

I need to start talking to local peeps more

Yep buying from local reefers are the best. One Purple Hornet polyp just closed on the bay for $227. I am really thinking about unloading 2 of these and buying my new MH bulbs.

No. I didn't pay nowhere near that, but they weren't cheap. I don't want to really sell any yet, but I do need to replace my bulbs and could use the money. The problem is in 6 months to a year these will probably be $10 a polyp.

Pics of my new frag tank keeper. I'm adding a Kole to keep things nice and tighty. I will keep him in there until I feel he out grows it. He is only about 2" right now.
