Hey guys,
I have a 24g Aquapod, and I want to upgrade my lights so I can finally have a clam. I see that most of the people here are using Sunpod lights as upgrade. I have a few qestions:
1. Should I get 150 or 250 watt HQI ?
2. Shold I get 20" or 24" ?
Those of you who have it, do you guys like it?

I do not have a clam, but I do have the 20" hqi sunpod. Tank has only been up 7 weeks, so far I like it. I eventually would like to have a clam, most likely after everything is established and would be one of the last additions.

For the 24gallon like mine, the 20" is what you need. 250 watt might be a bit overkill and Im not the best at decifering wattages for tanks, but Id go with the 150, more cost effective and same effect.

You can get a 144W PC upgrade the fits in the existing hood. Its a little bit of work to install it but it works well. I put that on mine and my clams and corals are doing great. I took the leftovers and put them in my other aquapod so the y both have 144W (2 actinics and 2 daylights each)

Does this PC upgrade work better than MH? I don't plan on keeping sps, and I want a clam, however the most important thing I want to do is add nice colors to my reef. I think that regular lights don't do the job. Another thing is that I can probably find a better price on the sunpod lights than PC upgrade. Does it mean that I should get the Sunpod lights?

How do you like the colors of your corals?

Yeah, I was also thinking more towards 150...
