hi, i have had my tank up and running for about 3 weeks now, i have been performing weekly water tests and everything seems to be looking pretty good. However, I am still new to this and have been reading into the questions that Ive been having, but am still in need of some answers, hope you guys can help me. I have green star polyps which have opened nicely however i was wondering how i can get them to stay in one place without having them be moved from the flow in my tank, Ive read that the super glue gel is good, so im wondering if i should use this or rather if i could use this i also have Kenya tree pieces which do not stay put at all and how i could also get these to stay, so my question in summary is what can i glue and what cant i glue. I was told that i could get an anemone and if so, can that be glued to anything. another question i have is regarding a protein skimmer, my lfs recommended i purchase one, any input on that?

I'm confused as to what exactly you'll be gluing. Is it the purple mat part of the star polyps or a rock that the polyps are on? I would glue it if it's a rock but not if you're trying to glue the mat.
To get the mat to stick: Try using some netting and a rubberband placed around the net/rock that you want it to attach to. Same goes for the Kenya tree.

thx for your help. i have the mat pieces so i will take ur advice and use either netting or rubberbands. As far as an anemone goes, what can be done for that?

No, don't glue an anemone. They'll attach themselves and move where they please.

What kind of lights do you have? Anemone's require high lighting. I also wouldn't place an anemone in your tank until it is at least 6 months old. Nems need stable water.
+1 to what Speg said, no glue for the nem. That's part of the reason some folks don't like them. They can and will move around the tank and sting any corals you may have. They will find a spot they like and pretty much stay if things stay consistent. If you add or move a PH and it doesn't like the new flow, it will move. Same for lighting, ect..
