24in light on a nano tank?

I have chose a light for my tank but it is 24 inches.... Which is way longer than my tank. It is hard to find 18in lights that are cheap. Plus i have a bigger tank laying around in case i decide to switch to it the light would fit. How should i go about putting the 24in on my tank? or should i not?

Well I say get a light that will fit the tank that you want to use...

if you dont want to do that... what kind of light is it? and what size tank do you want to put it on?

Its a 10gal nano. I have zoas, and shrooms in it. I just have a 50/50 single florescent in it now. I was gonna get a Aqualight T5 double. Its cheap and ok. I like that it has two switches to control both bulbs, unlike a Current Nova Extreme T5 HO.

Can i ask how much you are going to pay for it?

39.99 for the aqualight. Which is good, but it over laps too much. I think i might go with a Sundial or Sunpod. both have mounting brackets and are only 20in. Which is an inch on both sides no prob.

I think i have a 96w corallife that is just under 20" that you can get lages for... I would sell it to you if you wanted it... I used it for about a month... 40 bucks and its yours plus shipping... just let me know...
