250w Radium VS 400w Radium?

Ok. Seems like everyones 20k Radium pictures are blue, and everyone seems to think they need white supplementation, due to being blue... But I've now gone through 6 20k Radiums and never had a blue bath as some call it. It is just very crisp white with a hint of blue... ?
Mine are all 400w, however... Is it the 250w that is so blue? I've noticed that the XM I tried was a tad bit bluer than the radium.. The Venture 400w 10k (14k color) was very comparable to the radium, just a tad different tone. I am using a HQI PFO ballast on them.
I have a double ended 250w 20K bulb (not Radium) and it is very very blue.
What are other people's experience with the 20k Radium, XM, etc. Is it just word of mouth from other 20K bulbs that gives people the thought of it being so blue, coupled with pictures from cameras that make the pictures more blue? I know my camera can make my tank really blue if I don't set it right...

I like the Radiums, crisp white with a hint of blue. I've ran them on HQI, standard and the e-ballast. There just more intensebrighter on the HQI ballast.

That's what I've noticed. I just noticed a lot of threads talking about how they were too blue.. and I have a lot of trouble believing that they are looking at the same radiums i am..
I'm also running on the HQI ballast and I love the look. Really nice and bright.

What have you found is the effective life on them while running on HQI?

Regardless of the ballast I don't see a color change. It might appear to some that the bulb is bluer because its dimmer.

Hey, skilos! What's happened to Auburn!?
Not that I can talk... Last night was aweful. That was some of the most aweful coaching I've seen. Putting in the third string QB for his first time in the game when only up 33-32 against Miami!
Oh, well, at least they have some talent, just no coaching competency...
Florida/Auburn don't play eachother this year. Too bad, we could have bet a frag on it! :)
