I have a 28g Nano cube with 150 watt lighting.
All stock.
My question is, my tank gets down to aprox 77 degrees with the light off at night and rises to bout 81 degrees at the peak of temp.
I have the light on for 7 hours.
Currently there is 15 #'s of live rock and a reef shrimp.
SG at 1.025
That is a 4 degree temp swing.
Is this acceptable?
Thank you for any help.
BTW, great forum here!

I would bump the heater up a bit. A 4 degree swing is a bit too much for my liking. If you can bump the heater up and keep it around 79, that would be better. Of course having no fluctuation would be ideal.

I dont currently have a heater.
Although I certainly can go and get one.
BUt my thoughts are that no matter what the resting (Without lights) temp is, that it will still go up 4 degrees.
That would mean 84 degrees if i have a heater set for 80.
Correct or no?

Id be willing to give it a try.
SO the thought is.....start it warmer and then it won't increase 4 degrees?
Anyone have a comment on that?
