29 gal reef

I have a 75 gal reef already but was looking to upgrade the 29 gal with some better lighting. I will most likely keep nothing more that softies and LPS.
I'm not really sure what to do about the lighting. If I buy a new t5 setup I want to spend the little more on a longer light and just set up the 55. Or I can get a single MH for over it and keep the 29. What size MH should I run over it? Or should I go with a different type of lighting? (I don't want to go with PC)
will the MH alone look too red?

on my 29gallon sps tank i have an oceanic aquamedic 150watt hanging mh pendant with a 10k double ended hqi bulb but will be switching to 14k phoneix in a week. u can go with a 250watt mh if u would like. red? i dont believe there is a mh bulb that is red. ahhhh sry fedex brought my corals hang on

n e ways there are only 3 types of colors that will come out of a mh,
1 is blue
2 white
3 is yellow
for instance a 10k bulb is going to look very white or yellow vs a 14k blub or a 20k bulb that is going to have a bluer look. try some out experiment and what ever u like the best go with it. for colors to pop out of the corals ur gonna wanna go with a 14k blub but then again ur not gonna get the fast growth like u would with a 10 bulb but with a 10k bulb ur not gonna get those popping colors.
