29 gallon bio-cube!

hi, i am very new to the forums..i have very very many questions...i have been saving my money up for just about 4 months and have earned 400 dollars..i am going to get a oceanic 29 gallon bio-cube.
i have many questions about fish corals, etc.
first off, i would like to know how much a mated pair of onyx perculas will cost me, and what their favorite anemone might be.
i have done so much research that it isnt even funny. i have to wait until the end of the school year to get this tank and i am just wondering if anyone would like to recommend anything else. i would like very much to creat anemone fish offspring. i would need to know how to do this.
i love fish and i just cant wait to get my tank!!
thank you guys soo much!!!

i think also that maybe i could get more than just 2 onyx perculas...maybe i could get more livestock. i would love it if you guys could give me a list of livestock i could possibly have!!
i would also like to know how to frag all types of corals...and i dont think that i want to glue the base of the coral to the LR so is there anyway to work around that in the frag process?
i know i might have alot of questions but believe me i know pacience is essential in the awesome hobby.
if you guys would help me that would be great! and please post ur nano pictures here too!

Welcome to the wonderful, addicting, all-consuming hobby known as the saltwater aquarium! Please be sure to do research, research, and more research. And just when you think you've researched enough, do some more research!
As for the anemone, unfortunately there is not enough lighting in a Biocube to have one. I was pretty disappointed when I found out, too. But, clowns will host with things other than anemones, such as certain types of coral (torch, frogspawn, etc.) or even some types of algae! I'm planning on getting a frogspawn so the clowns I'm planning on getting will have something to host with. If you check out some of the threads on this nano board, you'll find more info on anemone alternatives.
Also, check out the tank diaries people keep on this board or on the fish photography board here. It may help by seeing how other people's tanks started out and how they've progressed over time. I know that it can be frustrating seeing the gorgeous, well-stocked tanks on this site when you're just starting out and your tank doesn't look like that (yet!). It's an expensive, but very rewarding, hobby--don't expect your tank to look completed or perfect overnight. Go slowly, do research before you get a new critter for your tank, ask A LOT of questions, and you'll have a great-looking tank before you know it!

Good luck! :cheer:

i agree, wonderful, addicting, all-consuming hobby....but i'll add expensive.
As far as an anemone, clowns don't need one to survive and i wouldn't suggest getting one for a nano tank.
look into the Archives & Faq's forum on this site. It has a wealth of info on very thing you can think of....including fragging and propagating corals. nothing wrong with a little super glue.
