29 Gallon BioCube

Hi Everyone,
My husband and I are rather "new" to the salty side, we are freshwater cichlids and tropheus people for the most part, but had an opportunity to purchase an already started 29 gallon biocube with heaps of polyps, live rock, shrimp and much more.
My question to biocube owners/and experienced saltwater aquarists , is there a way to place your heater in the back of the tank so as to be unseen. Currently it is placed on the right hand side of the tank in full view and we would rather it not be seen, they only way we figure this can be done is by placing in the filter area. Advise on this would be wonderful.
My second question is how can we make the filter catch more light debris. After reading I have noticed people place extra blue filter floss in the back, could this be placed overtop of the basket holding our liverock??? (The previous owner removed the bioballs with live rock rubble.) I was thinking that way the debris would get caught on that floss and not fly out into the tank.
Anyway, if anyone has any other suggestions we would certainly appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance,
Mrs.Freightrain

sorry i tried to find the post with pics..... ok here's what i did,
area 1, cut the overflow all the way across so it flows into box 2 better...get rid of stock filter replace with blue pad, remove bio balls and both upper an lower shelf .. replace with LR, remove pump (it is 210 GPH i think) replace with 400GPH...take off cover repalce with sunpod 150 HQI............ok last one is not really necessary... i will take pics tomorrow and post them

as for the heater, I just removed the little partition in the first chamber by pushing down on it and placed my heater back there. works great. Then I lay some filter floss across the top of the divider between the first and second chamber so the water runs through it.. it catches pretty much everything. Replace at least every week.

I have a Bio Cube 29 too, is there a DIY guide anywhere? Also i placed my heater 150 watt in the 3rd chamber with the pump, is that a OK place to place it? That Heater is too long to fit in the first chamber.
I notice the pump is vibrating a lot, is that normal? Its kind of loud at night and i cant sleep, anyway to make it less noisy?

I placed my heater in the same chamber with the pump..Mine seems to be working okay I have the 100 watt heater...
I'm not sure if it's okay or not, but it seems to be doing it's job.

You want to make sure your heater is fully submersed, if you just push on the first chamber, that little section will come out and you can put it in there. If your pump is vibrating, that means it is not suctions cupped well or is touching the side, just move it around until it stops vibrating.
