Hi Everyone,
My husband and I are rather "new" to the salty side, we are freshwater cichlids and tropheus people for the most part, but had an opportunity to purchase an already started 29 gallon biocube with heaps of polyps, live rock, shrimp and much more.
My question to biocube owners/and experienced saltwater aquarists , is there a way to place your heater in the back of the tank so as to be unseen. Currently it is placed on the right hand side of the tank in full view and we would rather it not be seen, they only way we figure this can be done is by placing in the filter area. Advise on this would be wonderful.
My second question is how can we make the filter catch more light debris. After reading I have noticed people place extra blue filter floss in the back, could this be placed overtop of the basket holding our liverock??? (The previous owner removed the bioballs with live rock rubble.) I was thinking that way the debris would get caught on that floss and not fly out into the tank.
Anyway, if anyone has any other suggestions we would certainly appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance,
Mrs.Freightrain
