29 vs 14 gallon

I am new to this hobby and wanted to start with something small. I can't decide between a 29 or 14 gallon nano reef. I have heard the smaller the tank the more care it needs, but the price difference between setting up a 29 vs 14 has me leaning towards a 14. Is a 14 largest enough for a good starter reef or should i pay the more for the 29. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i woudlnt say same care with both, with the smaller tank, you have heat issues, smaller tank, you can only a few fish because of the bioload. Its hard to keep parameters in spec, (ex. water evap) Go with a bigger tank, you can put more corals, the parameters are easier then a small the small tank and more thinggs to look at. Only downside is the water changes. You have to do more water changes then on a small tank but good thing is not as religiously as you would haveto in a 14gal.

i would do the 29 without a doubt....so many more options for fish . and a 14 will fill up with corals so quickly , you will be kicking yourself in a couple months...just my .02

definately the 29, twice as much as far as lr/ls/ salt, but definatly twice as rewarding to see. more fish options, more coral options, even more invert options.

yeah there are a lot of people that buy 12g tanks and then 6 months later are complaning that they dont have a big enough tank
definitly the 29g even if it means waiting a few months to get the money
