29g biocubes having split loc-line returns

I purchased 2 - 6" loc-lines with the Y splitter (all 1/2" fittings) to get more directional flow off of the pump return. Only thing is, I can't get the Y splitter to fit onto the ball connector that came on the permanent wall return. What have you guys done to make this work??? The company I bought the loc-line from says it should pop right onto it, but we've tried and it just won't fit. Did you have to buy another ball connector? Help!

I did the same thing and i needed a little elbow grease to get the splitter on too. What I did is get a piece of sand paper and sand down the inside of the splitter a little at a time till it popped on like it should. It took a little while because i didnt want to sand away too much but it worked perfectly.

I actually did the same thing on thurs. or fri. and mine wouldnt go on either and i ended up actually sanding the inside of the Y piece a little bit and then still had to put A LOT of muscle into it also, but it does fit (with a little bit of modification
)

Thank you so much guys for the info. I knew others had been able to do this mod. I'm going to try it and then have my son use his muscles since mine aren't what they used to be! Thanks again to both of you..........

Do you have a link to where to buy this online? Im interested in doing this but my LFS have nothing to split the flow of water.

Ask one of your LFS guys and see if they can special order one for you thats what i had to do.
