I currently have a 29gal tank set up for salt water. the fish I have are getting big and I would like them to have pleanty of room! Im planing on gettting a 55gal tank and I nned to know what to do in order to set it up.
1. can I just take all the water from the 29 gal and put it in the new tank with some new gravel and and some newly mixed salt water? will there be enough "treated water" to keep my fish healthy?
2. if I can just mix in new water, how many gal can I increase befor I need to reset up the water and wait 6weeks befor I add $$ fish. Can I go as high as 75gal?

I just did the exact same thing a few months ago. Here is what I did.
I first setup the 55 and then added LS and about 30 gallons of freshly made saltwater. I let the sand settle about 1 day before going any further.
Now because the 29 and the 55 are in 2 different rooms I had everything that was in the 29 in a big rubber made storage container. Everything except the cc substrate. Water, fish corals, and the LR was then slide across the floor over to my 55. I first placed the LR in the 55 then some of the water, then some coral and fish untill the 55 was full.
Everything went very smooth and there was a very minor very quit cycle that didnt harm any live stock.
