sry guys but im a sort of nooby at this.
Ive jus got 2 clowns today. 1 False pecular and maroon. Well right after i bought them i got the idea of gettin an anemone for them soooo i researched some more and jus found out they could get aggressive (kinda knew it before so i got 2 different types but its still bad all the same...sry? -_-) then i got the idea that the false pecular might not host. =] but the marroon might be tankraiseee..omg
well i was wonderin does any1 have any idea...? PLZ and TY
oh yeah cycled for only 2.5ish weeks with live rocks, 2 damsels, annd a bottle of Cycle. lol 30gallon (and about 8 inches of extra room on one side cause i really want an anemoney =])

I'd return one of the clowns. It is best to keep the same type together(2 maroons or 2 percs...) or the will more than likely become aggressive to one another, especially the maroon. Maroons become pretty mean as they mature.

lol thats funny
and im kinda worried cause during feedin times the percula would peck at the clown sorta
gawd. i bought a lightstrip for 50 bucks and some1 told me that i might not be able to use it for any anemones and only some coral. GAWD darn it
(moms money not mine btw)

I agree what has been mentioned already . The maroon will kill the Ocellaris , especially in a small tank like that . I would return the maroon and get another Ocellaris . Most cases maroons can only be kept together only if they have paired up . Two different maroons will fight till death . Also you need to let you tank age for at least 6-8 months before adding any anemone .

yeah i no. and its a pecular btw. umm i called the store but there is no return for saltwater fish. i dont think the tank is small....? 30gallon seems prettygood to me but w.e. and its more like the small pecular is gonna win but i dont really wanna watch
well im addin more rocks and corals. NO ANEMONES
i get it lol

Well , you called it a false percula in your first post . Which is an Ocellaris clown . A 30 is not too small for clowns , but is with two different species of clowns and especially with a maroon . Usually LFS will buy fish back , doesn`t sound like they care much for their customers . Trust me , the maroon will win , they are the meanest and most territorial clown . Also depending on which anemone you get when your tank is ready , you will need moderate to high lighting to keep it alive . If your tank has only cycled two and a half weeks I`d wait a little before adding any corals .

The clown is already starting to get aggressive as you described. Better find a new home for one of your clownfish.

I have had a maroon and ocellaris clown in same tank for two years. Maroon is definatly dominate and twice the size. Maroon was the only one to host anenome, would chase the other one away.6 months ago my anenome got sucked into my powerhead. I heard it could happen but didn't believe it. I made modifications to powerheads, finally got a new gbta. Got up this morning and both clown fishe were in it. Pretty cool.

lol dude that sounds tottaly awesome, i wish my nemos got along but after being yelled-at(warned) by the saltwaterfish peers, i got rid of one (to the lfs of course, they decided to take him back =]). GAWD i miss him
