ahhhhhh. i've seen one other of this of its like. its a type of corraline algae. it will grow like tree branches if you let it. i wish i had some it almost looks like a coral but its not. provide it some light, a stable alk and calcium and watch it grow.

Sounds like a plan...I'm cycling right now so I hope it hangs on..I have a few rocks with small patches of it..Looks nice already..It would be nice to see grow and enlarge..as long as it doesn't take over too much...
I'm glad this website is here..I have to save up for some good Identification books and to cover most of the bases I'm betting it would be about $150.00 (US) to cover a few oceans of the basics, from already checking...
Thanks,
Billb

it is hard to the touch right? just want to make sure of that. im not entirely sure on the light needs of this things. im assuming it needs whatever light you can give it, whatever that is doesn't matter. its in a book by bansh or bensh, they are little thick dictionaries of marine life. very expensive and i think there are 3 of them.

Actually it's soft to the touch, not real stiff..shows some movement in current...

You are very lucky to have that. You would not have it if your tank did not have what it needs. Don't change anything for ot's benift. You must be doing something right. It is beautiful! Have tried to find it in my books. Nothing. Looks like a seaweed, a very exotic one. Never seen a fan like that. I am no help. ASk SWF.
