I am looking into building stands for a 29gal and a 75gal. I want them both to be identical on the exterior so they will look good together. Does anyone have some good plans written up that have worked for them and are easy to modify for a larger/smaller tank? Any help would be appreciated.

There are alot of good web sites for building stands for tanks..If you do a search in yahoo for DIY fish tank stands a few websites will come up.. I built my own stand from information from different sites...Cant name one, but i know there are alot out there..Good luck...Built my own for 300 Gallon...Many supports and even had to build a wall in the basement underneath the tank to support my weight (approx 3000 lbs) Just make sure its level and can tolerate alot of weight. Dont rush into it...do the research first...GOOD LUCK

hey bro
try using cinderblocks, a sheet of 1" cdx chipboard and a sheet of
finish grade plywood
stack the blocks and put the cdx on top of them
then attach the plywood to the edge of the cdx
get a couple of hinges and you could put doors on it.
i built one for a 55 for under fifty bucks
cant get any picks but i think it looks great
