softies and the rest depend on how experienced you are with SW corals
i would leave hard corals for advanced nano keepers
and would not think of putting an anemone into a 10

I have the exact light ( current usa 2x40w ) with that light you are good for keeping softies and most LPS corals

how big of a tank do you need to support anemones then? I am considering a jbj 12 gal deluxe. I've never kept a reef before. Me=newbie

if you want a nano i would just push aside the anemone idea.. it's just not a great move in the long run or short run

I also have a 44 gallon fish and invert. only pentagon corner tank I've had running for a year... how much light would I need to bump it up to being ok for anenomes? Will it be too deep to get enough light to them? Would I have to pile up some LR to bump them up higher? I have a really nice pair of false perc. clowns and I'd love to give them an anenome home, but if it's not meant to be they seem to be a happy pair. I had heard at minimum 3-4 watts per gallon for a reef tank, and I'm assuming it would need to be higher than that... or is it going to be more of a tank size problem? Lighting leaves me a little confused.

your best best if its a tall tank is to go with MH lighting .. MH seems to have light reach deeper water more so than PC or VHO
also clowns do not need anemones to be happy ... mine have found a nice home on my hairy mushrooms
