3-5 shrimp too many????

Are 3-5 cleaners too many for a 55 gal. I only have one right now.

thry do better in pairs, and for a 50 galllon, one pair is best
but many have kept more with no problems

Thank you sir (or ma'am sorry dont know.) I also have one emerald crab and want a few more...maybe some hermits and snails. could you give me safe quantities.
Oh yeah. The cleaner shrimp has been there a while is it okay to add another now?

for a 55 gallon, that would all depend on the particular species you want, fior sanils, i like the trochus, and we also have turbos, but the trochus, IMO are a much better snail, nad mybe 6 or 7 to start with, and see, as for hermits, i have no real idea, because i love clawless tanks myself
adn yes you should have no probs adding a new cleaner now,

never said they didn't so you are not contradicting, it is a 55 gallon, so therefore, i would go wiht one pair
and i also said, many people have been ok with more
