3 baffle bubble trap vs. 2 baffle bubble trap

Which is better and why?
My sump design is going to be one way water flow from skimmer to fuge to return. Would 2 baffles (over and then the under) be enough between the fuge and the return area? I'm short on space, plus I think I read on here somewhere that if you use a 3rd baffle that you can actually create new bubbles due to the waterfall effect of water going over the 3rd baffle.
Thanks, any advice is appreciated! This is decision crunch time. I'm starting to silicone baffles today.

you really need 3....the third one can be shorter so that the waterfall effect doesn't happen leading to the return area.

Should the last baffle height be above the water line or does it not make a difference? So the water goes over the first, under the second and back over the third...if the third is under water does it defeat the purpose? I only ask because I feel like the act of water falling down from the third to the water line creates bubbles...what do you think?
