Looks good :). Your base and hood look exactly like my 55 gal setup.
I would definitely add more live rock and my preference would be to ditch the background and add a background with a solid color. I have a blue background and can easily see the fish. It is your preference of course.
Good job!

I think you are off to a great start. As others has said I think more LR and a solid background would really brighten your tank up a little but we all have our own preferences so hehe.

Looks good. Only thing I saw was in your collection choices. I dont know if anyone told you but Panther groupers become very aggressive as they get larger.. and they DO get much much larger.
Chances are he'll be able to eat everything you have in the tank, possibly even the tang... If he doesnt eat the tang he'll stress him/her out ...
what are you feeding the panther? I have noticed that feeding has alot to do with an aggressive species temperment what I have seen. If you feed them flakes he'll be calm for a long time..
If you are feeding meaty foods like Krill.. etc.. You'll have problems much sooner from him.. Starting with your inverts.

I was warned about the grouper. The wife and I agreed he was just to cool, so we got him anyway. When he eats something he'll be out of there. It will probably be a crab or shrimp first which stinks. I think crabs and shrimp are really cool.
I have been feeding frozen foods. The tang has black ich and I am trying to get him better. He eats the frozen stuff better than the flake.
I was told he will be as much as a foot long in a year. That will be cool to watch him grow.

fishking,
That is a SeaClone 150 Protien skimmer. I have heard good and not so good about it, but it seems to work fine for me. I take out nasty looking water from it every 2 or 3 days. It's a pain in the sump because of space. I added a foam colum for the water to flow down and that has stopped the noise and air bubbles. That worked out great. It is a feather duster in the crushed coral bed. There are two other amemones.

I guess at this point, what's in there is in there. The two anemones are condi anemones. One worked its way to the intake of the canister filter and got caught in it. It didn't like that very much. I am attaching a picture of my lights. The tank is pretty bright. If I got the anemones closer to the surface, would that help? I want to get some rocks on one side and maybe get some anemones or corals on it. I'm not sure what I will do in the future. The hood only has about 3 inches from the top of the water to the top. That doesn't leave much room. Hard to get heat out also. With just these lights my tank is heating up to much. I am wokring on some ventelation, but not done yet. If I go to metal halides I will have to make a whole new hood. Not something I want to get into right now. I got 18 bulbs for $100. That's enough for 3 sets. That will last me quite a while. At about $300 or more for some of the light fixtures I have seen, I had to go with the more cost efective route for now.
How do you know if the anemones are healthy? They cycle in and out during the day. They eat shrimp pellets. My clown grabs food and take it to one at feeding time. Their color changes some. White and someimes gray. Well, the one that got into the filter turns gray. Sometimes some light brown. If anyone can guide me to something to read about this, I would appreciate.

I have one the stays on the rock I put him on. The other moves to same spot no matter where I put him. Funny thing is, they are opposite ends of the tank. Clown fish stays in one all the time, but won't have anything to do with the other.
If anyone has pictures of healthy condi's please post so I can compare.
It's cool when they take shrimp out of your hand. It's also cool when the crab climbs into the anemone and fights him for a piece of shrimp.

they require Metal Halide lights, or ALOT of VHOs or PCs, in a smaller tank they would be able to survive with VHO or PC
MagicCarp, not a flame or anything, I'm actually very intrigued by anemones and have kept several types. The LT condys are very hardy, and if put an established tank, do they really need that much lighting?
I have two anemones that are over a year old in my 40g Breeder, and they are as is healthy as can be with just a single Triton strip above them.
Not trying to flame, I'm just curious why I've had such good luck with anemones even though the lighting is low. I've never lost one except for at the hands of a powerhead/filter, but now I've protected against that. Maybe I'm just lucky. I have one living on the top of the LR, close to the light, but the other is by a rock in the sand, farther away. Both are fine.
Here's a pic of one of them a few months ago:
