I did some trading today with a local reefer that I had no clue was so close to me barely 5 miles away this guy has what I want and I have what he wants, he came with one of my reefclub members and him and I have done a little trading. this is the only guy within 60 miles of me that keeps SPS. his set up is frikkensweet, he has all the toys ORP sensors basement sump basement frag tank, his tank calls his cell phone if it overheats etc..... well anyhow the pictures or my new frags

well my tank is capable of 45mph and a 120mm main cannon.

its hard for my camera to pick up the true colors from under the VHO's this guys frag set up is awesome I am picking up a bunch of stuff from him over the long haul. he runs t-5 ho on one half and, get this, regular out put flourescents over the other (uvl bulbs though). he has probably some of the best colored shrooms I have seen under his flourescents. maybe next time I go over I can snap some shots of his set up.

Nice new peices you have there. Congrats. Lucky you finding someone that close to trade with that actually knows what they are doing.

its a breath of fresh air talking to some one on par with myself, local, live and in person, he has different expiriences and his tank and set ups are totally different from mine so there is much to learn from looking and swapping stories, habits and expiriences. we can cover hours of posting conversations in minutes. most of my local reef club members arent that local (45+ minutes travel) this guy is minutes away. it is really nice.

that cap is beautiful. i just started keeping sps under T5HO and the T5's seem to bring out the colors way more than MH. i know the MH helps growth but i think a little bit of starving for light is a good thing because it really makes the colors pop.
im running 2 36" 4x39W fixtures.

Nice pick up reefkprZ. Ive been thinking about joining CMAS (Chicagoland Marine Aquarium Society)in my area .I think im going to do it.

Nice find reefkprz(on the frags and the new friend). It is always nice to meet people with the same interests, very easy to talk to and share experiences most of the time. Good luck with the new additions.

The guy 5 minutes away with a big sps tank just sold it bc he is getting shipped offshore. But fortunately I found a guy who lives a stone throws away that does a GREAT job with softies...

well one of my fish broke my cap today..... it was brittle and thin probably grown in low flow. my guess is my fat algae blenny "perched" on it. well I now have a small frag too.....

And so now you have a blenny that does your fragging for you!
But that bali slimer looks like mine when I first got it. Now it is huge! One of my fastest growers.
And I really like the tricolor you have on the left side of the pic.
