Hey Everyone:
Here are picks of my bio cube from Start to Present. Anyone know the name of the Anenome that Clown Fish like to go into? Let me know your thoughts on my bio cube. Open to any comments or suggestions.

THANKS

I think 2 weeks and then I purchased the anenome. I know I probably should have waited a little longer, but my setup was pretty flawless. I got live sand imported from Florida, Live Rock was added right away, and the Salt Water is right from the Ocean, which needs no mixing. From the Pics I think you can see this wonderful product of salt water that ***** sells. Its neat. I have been running test on it and the only thing that is pretty high is my Calcium, its aroun 500. Is that bad for a reef?

500 isnt to bad. U check for trates and ammonia and other things?
By the way I like the live rock and aquascaping? I asked ab out the cycle cuz it looks like i see diatoms in the sand and thats usually a sign of cycyling

Where u testing before adding anything? Do you have test kits for nitrites, nitrates, ammmonia, PH, alkanity, u obivously have one for calcium, and a refractometer or hydrometer?
Also using ocean water isnt good i believe. Plenty of threads on here about it if you use the search

diatoms is the brown algea in your sand. means tank is cycling. will go away on its on with good flow and parameters being good.
Do you have any clean up crew?
When did u add this fish and when did you ad the anemone?

also id take the anemone back to lfs for some credit. my girlfrined has a 14 gal biocube and it onyl comes ith like 36 or 28 watts of PC lights not good enough for the anemone.
I hope it doesnt sound like im bashing you! Im just trying to help

Yeah I just tested the water tonight:
PH 8.2
Nitrate was good.
Nitrite was excellent
Salinity was 1.25 and 1.26
Anemona was 0.00

Why do I have to take the Anenome back? I like it in the tank, it doesnt look like its dieing. What kind of Anenome can I buy that my Perculas clown will like?

whats good for trates can be deadly for the anemone
Lights arent good enough for annemones. They need more intense lights and need to be fed. but if you wanna keep it in there its up to you! Are you gettin any fish in 2morrow?
ur pretty much at a max with a tnk that size

Just 1 more fish, but I'm taking out the 2 damzels and giving it back to m LFS. This way I can make room for my Pygmy Angelfish (A)

Now regarding the Anenome, how do you feed it? The guy that sold it to me said I should place a half of some type of liquid that he sold me in a bottle in my tank once a week to feed that and the Scallop I have in there. What do you think?

i used to have an atlantic anenome back in the day.. i gave it a pellet thing about once a week.. it lives off of lights tho which is why people stress to have powerful lights when housing an anenome.
