I would probably start slower...I like to add slowly to my tank to make sure everyone gets along, and all is going well. I have 10 cortez hermits, 3 blue leg hermits, 2 mexican turbo snails, and 1 cleaner shrimp so far. The only problem I can see with that reef package is the CBS. They can be aggressive, and might make a meal out of one of your other shrimp, as well as maybe some of the other inverts.

i bought the camels back a few weeks ago so their in there for a bit, at least till i start to put in corals which will be a few months. but here is what i odered :
Blueleg Hermits - Group of 10
Scarlet Hermit Crab - Group of 10
1 Cleaner Shrimp
Nassarius Snail - Group of 5
Turbo/Astrea Snail - Group of 10
3 Peppermint Shrimp
i still want to get a brittle star when they are back in stock but ill order that when i get more fish.

another question is how should i make sure all of these critters are well fed? are there special foods i can buy for the shrimp? my camels i have now have been eating the food my fish dont grab and about 2 times a week i put food in frot of their hiding place.

buy yourself a turkey bastor and spot feed all your shrimp one or two times a week. other than that everything should be ok should be able to find its own food.
as a side note i never understood swf packages. they are way to stacked with hermits and snails sometimes. what you ordered was a very good mix. even though they are cleaners they do generate waste, especially the snails, so watch your water some for a little while. if you get a chance get 5 more cerith snails and some nassarius snails.

My cleaner shrimp walks upside down on the water surface when I feed my 2 clowns. He gets a lot of flakes every night when I feed them.
Not sure about the other shirmp though. I think you need to spot feed your starfish every once in a while.

I have always thought that cleaner crews were way to much at one time. I have five turbo snails and 6 or so scarlet crabs and a cleaner shrimp. I am going to add a few more crabs but I could not see 20 of each and a few others in my 55(way to much IMO) I also have 60lbs live rock. IMO start slow add some scarlets and some snails, if they aren't doing the job add more.

variety is the best thing you can do with a clean up crew. the more variety the better job done.

Hey
,
Personally if your feeding them silversides thats more than enough...Usually the shrimp come out at night and scavenge the floor like the snails...they'll eat up any left over food thats on the sand bed...I have 3 peppermint shrimp, 1 camel back shrimp, 1 horseshoe crab. 3 nassarius snails, 1 pink tip anenome, 1 clarki clownfish and a Royal gramma....I never spot feed my shrimp...The only thing I spot feed is the anenome cause he hardly catches any food, most of it goes in my filters ...besides the shrimp get enough from the small uneaten pieces of silversides that the fish dont eat...
I would recomend that for the future...u get get Nassarius snails...they do an AMAZING job in keeping your sand bed clean...I totally prefer them over hermit crabs....:)
