We decided to start a frag tank, we bought a used acrylic breeder tank. We also bought a 30 gallon long to use as a sump/refugium.

Once we had the sump ready several locals came by to help, you may know some of them from on here as Mr. X, Jerry Attrick, Faqbch99, Private Joker, Frezel. I am very fortunate to have them live close by and be able to calll them friends.
First we needed all the proper tools

We also made the day a frag swap

After filling the sump, the partition walls did not hold...so time to empty the tank and start over again.

Make sure there is a large enough area for the protein skimmer.

Tomorrow we will do leak tests and set the sump up to run again. While at the same time we did a leak test on our new 48 gallon hex tank and water change in the 29 gallon qt tank. Busy day. Will add more pics tomorrow.

Great diary. It was a ton of fun. The party reefers worked harder on the brew than the tank though... or maybe that was just me.
