Well I was thinking last night and was wondering if a wrasse was a good idea since I have read that they are aggressive? Is this something to worry about? Is there another choice. I kinda would like to have a small school or something but I understand that's not likely since its a small tank.
Oh the wrasse controversy. It works for some people and not for others. It just matters which one you happen to get. I personally don't think it's worth it, but some people would advise otherwise.
I think that in your tank, you could so a 6 line wrasse pretty safely, but just avoid the goby, and then add 3 green chromis for a schooling fish. This would be a really nice semi-aggressive tank. (Coral Beauty, pair of clowns, six line wrasse, 3 chromis).
I'm kinda in love with the goofy looking goby's facial expression but that might be something to look into cuz I do like your idea as well. For the cuc I currently have 1 hermit and 1 emerald crab. My sister wants me to get more emeralds but I heard those can be a pain too. I would really like to get like 5 snail 10 blue legged hermit crabs and eventually add a star fish. I haven't researched hardly any but I think the sand sifter would be best but I haven't done enough research to see how hard they are to take care of.
I totally see your point on the goby's because they are so cute! I love them!
You have a sand bed, correct?
How about: Coral Beauty, pair of clowns, goby, 3 chromis?
I would go with a total for your tank on a clean up crew: 10 snails, 5 hermits, 2 emeralds, 1 or 2 star fish
More snails that crabs because the crabs might kill a snail or two because of their shells. SO make sure there are many empty shells in the tank and problem solved!
i hope the one hermit u have jibiggs isnt a larger species! They will eat anything...
also for schooling fish u could get a trio of chalk basslets or zebra gobys! (bar gobys/dartfish)....
thats a decent bioload for a 30gal so make sure u have a good skimmer and do ur monthly (im a monthly guy) or if not weekly water changes!
k well all the smaller ones are red, blue, or whites....the larger ones ive seen are red with white spots (strawberry) or jade....they are green with yellow lines!
