I came home from work about 9:00 last night. My front door was wide open!
i had left in a rush that am so i figured i didnt close the door hard enough. thankfully i live in a realy good neighborhood. I guess i won't complain about the old nosy neighbors any more. I was walking by my tank to my room to change clothes when i noticed there's all kinds of crap floating in my tank. looking closer i find that it is flake food! my hm and my aunts hm are on 1 1/2 acres that connect like an L. her two sons are my godsons. they were playing on their 4 wheelers saw that my door was open and came to visit me. one is 5 the other is 3 1/2. the five year old threw that whole can of food in the tank. so i was up till 2:30 last night w a net trying to pick as much out as i could. tank looks like crap! water is cloudy. every thing is off! UGH! going to do another water change in a bit. i'm working on it but man this stinks.

Hey better than a dog sausage right? Someone recently posted a thread that a child had tossed in a log of K9 variety right into thier tank.
Above advice is all solid. Water changes and a vigil should clear it out.

Yikes! I came home to an open garage door this past week. Thankfully none of the stuff (including a $200+ Ferrari banner) was taken. The stupid opener's end point is off whack and thinks when it's closed it's hitting something and reopens
. Didn't realize it on the way to work. Yea, feel a lot better in the neighborhood now.
Anyways, yea, the ammonia stuff (in general don't sure about that particular one) works surprising well. Indeed keep up the water changes and watch the pH from getting any lower. Might toss some buffer in there.

It seems that you've gotten a lot of good advice and you acted quickly to arrest the problem.
I'm sure that by the time you get back from the funeral your tank will be fine.
