Sorry for duplicate post, but I was hoping for some type of feed back. Where better than the Forum where everyone is swimming. Long story short Cracked bottom of empty 150 gal tank. Opinions on Glass doctor vs replacing bottom of glass vs gluing cracks and placing new glass on top and sealing vs junk yard

I wouldnt trust a tank with a cracked bottom especially in a large tank like that!!
use it as a reptile tank where weight isnt going to be a factor!

I think I replyied in your other post...
You said they were hairline cracks...do they go all the way thru the glass? I suggested double paning the glass...but, if the cracks are thru the whole sheet of glass, I'd skip that idea...too much pressure.
And...in response to your post, on your other thread...asking if I didn't think the heat would cause the cracks...
No, I don't think it'd have anything to do with it. I've had my 200gal in my parents garage for more than 2 years...no air conditioning, air circulation, etc. and it gets well over 110 degrees in their garage. My tank is perfectly fine, after all this time.
